A woman constable, Amandeep Kaur, was arrested on Wednesday with almost 18 gram Heroin (Chitta) from Bathinda. She was driving her “Thar” searched by the police & drug heroin recovered from her.

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾਸਤ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਉਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਉਰਫ਼ ਗਗਨ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੁੱਜੀ। ਗਗਨ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸੋਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਤਕਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਫੀ ਹੰਗਾਮਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਪਤਨੀ ਗਗਨ ਦੇ ਥੱਪੜ ਜੜੇ। ਦੋਸ਼ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸੋਨੂੰ ਲੇਡੀ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਬਰਖਾਸਤ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਉਤੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਗੁਰਮੀਤ ਉਰਫ਼ ਗਗਨ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੁੱਜੀ।
ਗਗਨ ਦੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਤੀ ਬਲਜਿੰਦਰ ਸੋਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਤਕਰਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਕਾਫੀ ਹੰਗਾਮਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਪਤੀ ਨੇ ਪਤਨੀ ਗਗਨ ਦੇ ਥੱਪੜ ਜੜੇ। ਦੋਸ਼ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਸੋਨੂੰ ਲੇਡੀ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਦੱਸ ਦਈਏ ਕਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਬਾਦਲ ਰੋਡ ’ਤੇ ਹਵਾਈ ਪੁਲ ਨੇੜਿਓਂ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਹੈੱਡ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਥਿਤ 17.71 ਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਸਣੇ ਹਿਰਾਸਤ ’ਚ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਡੀਐੱਸਪੀ ਹਰਬੰਸ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ-ਬਾਦਲ ਮਾਰਗ ਉਤੇ ਨਾਕਾ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਵਾਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਲਾਸ਼ੀ ਲਈ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਥਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕ ਕੇ ਚੈਕਿੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਹੋਈ। ਡੀਐੱਸਪੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਥਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਔਰਤ ਚਲਾ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਛ-ਪੜਤਾਲ ਕਰਨ ’ਤੇ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਂ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
ਇਹ ਔਰਤ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਹੀ ਪਿੰਡ ਚੱਕ ਫ਼ਤਹਿ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਲਾ ਦੀ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਪੁਲਿਸ ’ਚ ਹੈੱਡ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਮਾਨਸਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਇਨਾਤੀ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਵਰਤਮਾਨ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਹ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਲਾਈਨ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਡਿਊਟੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਾਂਸਟੇਬਲ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੂੰ ਨੌਕਰੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਰਖਾਸਤ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਇਸੇ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਹੰਗਾਮਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

Sources said that during her arrest, she mentioned the name of a senior IPS officer and said she wanted to talk to him. IGP Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill confirmed her dismissal from service and announced a thorough investigation into her assets.
