The accident was a chain reaction (often described as a “freak accident”):A speeding Mercedes car rear-ended an auto-rickshaw.
The impact caused the auto-rickshaw to lose control, overturn, and collide with a security escort vehicle (reported as an Innova) from Akshay Kumar’s convoy.
The escort vehicle overturned or was heavily damaged and made contact with the SUV carrying Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna.
The crash took place near Mukteshwar Road or Gandhigram Road in Juhu, close to the actor’s residence and areas like Silver Beach cafe.
