पंजाब के मोहाली में लोगों के साथ करोड़ों रुपये की धोखाधड़ी मामले में पुलिस ने मिसेज चंडीगढ़ का खिताब जीत चुकी अर्पणा सरगोता को गिरफ्तार किया है। आरोपी महिला का पति पहले ही जेल में बंद है। पुलिस ने उसके बेटे को भी पकड़ा है।
अपनी सुंदरता से बड़े-बड़े खिताब जीत चुकी पूर्व मिसेज चंडीगढ़ को पुलिस ने करोड़ों रुपये की धोखाधड़ी मामले में गिरफ्तार किया है। पुलिस ने पूर्व मिसेज चंडीगढ़ अर्पणा सरगोता और उसके बेटे कुणाल नागपाल को भी गिरफ्तार किया है। वहीं, आरोपी अर्पणा सरगोता का पति संजय पहले से ही जेल में बंद है। अर्पणा ने वर्ष 2019 में 40 वर्ष से अधिक आयु वर्ग में मिसेज चंडीगढ़ का खिताब जीता था।
पुलिस ने अर्पणा सरगोता व उसके बेटे को विदेश भेजने के नाम पर लोगों से करोड़ों रुपये ठगी के आरोप में गिरफ्तार किया है। दोनों को मोहाली के फेज-11 थाना पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार किया है। वहीं इसी मामले में महिला का पति पहले से गिरफ्तार है।
एसपी सिटी-2 हरसिमरन सिंह बल ने बताया कि एसएचओ फेज-11 थाना गगनदीप सिंह और उनकी टीम ने गुप्त सूचना पर आरोपी अर्पणा सरगोता और उसके बेटे कुणाल नागपाल को गिरफ्तार किया है। जबकि इस महिला का पति संजय पहले से ही गिरफ्तार हो चुका है और जेल में है।
Mrs. Chandigarh 2019, Arpana Sagotra on Sunday was arrested along with her son Kunal in multiple fraud cases. As per reports, the police recovered 500 grams of gold biscuits, Rs 7 lakh cash, and a Ford car from them. Police have already arrested Mrs Chandigarh Arpana Sagotra’s husband Sanjay. As per Phase 11 Police of Mohali, 25 cases of fraud are registered against them in which Arpana Sagotra & her family are accused of cheating from Rs 2.5 to 3 crores. The Police stated that an investigation is underway and the number of fraud cases may increase further.
आधा किलो सोने के बिस्किट और सात लाख कैश बरामद
उन्होंने बताया कि इन आरोपियों के खिलाफ विदेश भेजने के नाम पर ठगी करने के कई मामले दर्ज हैं। आरोपियों ने भोले-भाले लोगों को विदेश भेजने के सपने दिखाकर उनसे लाखों रुपये ठगे हैं। बाद में न तो उन्हें विदेश भेजा और न ही उनके पैसे वापस किए थे। इस पर इनके खिलाफ थाना फेज-11 में केस दर्ज किए गए थे। पुलिस ने इनके पास से आधा किलो सोने के बिस्किट और सात लाख रुपये बरामद किए हैं।
आरोपियों पर इमिग्रेशन फ्रॉड के 25 केस दर्ज
एसएचओ गगनदीप सिंह ने बताया कि आरोपियों के खिलाफ इमिग्रेशन फ्रॉड के 25 केस दर्ज हैं। मामले का मुख्य आरोपी संजय पहले ही जेल में है, लेकिन उसकी पत्नी और बेटा दोनों लंबे समय से फरार चल रहे थे। वहीं, अब जाकर पुलिस को गुप्त सूचना मिली थी। इसके बाद छापेमारी करते हुए दोनों आरोपियों को काबू किया गया था। उन्होंने बताया कि ठगे हुए पैसों से यह आरोपी सोने के बिस्किट खरीद लेते थे। गिरफ्तारी के बाद आरोपियों की निशानदेही पर पुलिस ने 500 ग्राम सोने के बिस्किट और सात लाख रुपये कैश भी बरामद किया है। इसके अलावा इनके पास से एक फोर्ड की ईको स्पोट गाड़ी भी बरामद हुई है।
Police investigation revealed that Mrs. Chandigarh and her husband trapped people through social media. People were lured by social media in the name of sending them abroad and especially to Canada quickly for less money. Then they were called to the office and money was taken. Later, they used to swindle the money.
Mohali Police investigation reportedly revealed that Mrs. Chandigarh Arpana Sagotra had cheated a woman from Dera Bassi. Aparna told her that her husband’s name was ES Joseph. She said that she would get her admitted to a private school in Sector 26, Chandigarh. For this, she took Rs 5 lakh. Apart from this, she also took Rs 16 lakh in the name of investment and swindled it.
As per the cops, after swindling the money, if anyone went to Aparna to ask for money, she used to threaten them. Since she was a lawyer by profession, she used to threaten the victims of fraud that she would file a case against them. However, when the number of victims of fraud increased, they reached the police station, and, Mrs. Chandigarh’s alleged secret was revealed.
It has also been revealed that that Arpana bought gold biscuits to hide the fraud money. When the police caught her, gold biscuits of 100 grams each were recovered from her. Rs 7 lakh cash and car seized from her were also from the fraud money.
To impress people, Arpana used to take the help of luxury cars. These had VIP numbers on them. She used to share such photos on social media before trapping people so that no one could think that a woman who owned a car worth crores could usurp lakhs of rupees from them. However, this was all part of the game plan of fraud.
For instance, Balbir Singh, a resident of Bhai Matidas Nagar, Bathinda, complained that Arpana Sagotra and her husband Sanjay Singh had opened their immigration office in Kothi No. 45 in Emaar Society in Sector 106, Mohali. He was running an immigration office from home. He came in contact with them through a social media platform and applied to the couple’s company for Canadian PR. Arpana Sagotra and her husband allegedly demanded Rs 12 lakh for getting him PR in Canada. He deposited the amount. But, after taking the money, the accused did not give him a visa. Instead, they started threatening him. The cheques given to him also bounced.
The cops further informed that the amount of fraud is very high. Due to this, the police are still finding out the details of her bank accounts and property. The police will also get her property confiscated through the court so that the victims of fraud can get justice. Most of the cases against the arrested accused Arpana are registered in the Sohana police station. All are of immigration fraud. Most of the victims are from the districts of Punjab.
