ਗੈਰਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਪਰਵਾਸੀ ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਬੈਚ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਫੌਜੀ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਸੀ-17 ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਅੱਡੇ ’ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿਚ 116 ਭਾਰਤੀ ਸਵਾਰ ਦੱਸੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਚ 65 ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਹਨ। ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਬੈਚ ਵਿਚ 119 ਭਾਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਪੋਰਟ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਪੰਜਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਨਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਵਾਬ ‘ਚ ਭਾਜਪਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ।
ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗਲਤ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ RCH175 ਹਵਾਈ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਡਿਏਗੋ ਗਾਰਸੀਆ ਦੇ ਹਿੰਦ ਮਹਾਸਾਗਰ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੰਯੁਕਤ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਅਤੇ ਇੰਗਲੈਂਡ ਦੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਬੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਲਈ ਉਡਾਣ ਭਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਡਿਏਗੋ ਗਾਰਸੀਆ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਗੁਜਰਾਤ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਡਿਏਗੋ ਗਾਰਸੀਆ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ।
ਮੀਡੀਆ ਬਿਆਨ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਡਿਪੋਰਟੀ ਫਲਾਈਟਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਪ੍ਰਕਿਰਿਆ ਬਾਰੇ ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਦੂਤਾਵਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਖਣ ਬਾਰੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਵੈਸੇ ਵੀ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ ਹੀ ਇਹ ਮੁੱਦਾ ਚੁੱਕਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਇਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੁਝ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਅੱਜ ਸ਼ੇਖੀ ਮਾਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਢੇ ਸਤਾਰਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਇਸਨੂੰ ਜਹਾਜ਼ਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਹੈ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਡਿਪੋਰਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਲੈਣਾ ਦੇਣਾ? ਇਹਨੂੰ ਫੁਕਰਪੁਣਾ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਨੇ।

Bhagwant Mann’s government and the police kept taking money from the travel agents… How could such travel agents flourish?… They made thousands of people jobless… AAP should think about how they destroyed Punjab. They said that people would leave everything (in the US) and return to Punjab, but they are selling their lands to leave Punjab, and AAP is still creating a drama…”

CM Bhagwant Mann raised questions about the BJP-led Central Government’s decision to choose Amritsar Airport for the deportees sent by the US. He alleged that Amritsar was chosen to defame Punjabis.
Mann questioned if PM Modi was bringing this “gift” from Trump, pointing out that “our people are returning in shackles.” He also noted that the flight is still in airspace and urged the MEA and MHA to change its landing destination.
Mann further questioned why gangsters, whom India has been demanding extradition for, are not being deported, while those working in restaurants are being sent back.
