Punjab Police Arrests 3 Youths in Khalistani Slogans Case: Pro-Khalistan Graffiti Found on School Walls in Bathinda
In a joint operation, Punjab’s Counter Intelligence and Bathinda Police have apprehended three individuals affiliated with the banned Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) group for scrawling “Khalistan Zindabad” slogans on school walls in Bhisiana and Mananwala villages.
The arrested accused—Navjot Singh (alias Jota, 24), Gurpreet Singh (26) from Ferozepur, and Harjinder Singh from Bathinda—allegedly acted on directions from US-based SFJ leader Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, receiving foreign funding for these anti-national activities aimed at inciting unrest.

ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਊਂਟਰ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ 3 ਅਜਿਹੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ ‘ਚ ਬੈਠੇ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਦੋ ਥਾਵਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਜਿੰਦਾਬਾਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਚਾਰ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਈਫਾਈ ਡੋਂਗਲ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਐਸਪੀ (ਡੀ) ਜਸਮੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਬਠਿੰਡਾ ਦੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਮਾਨਾਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੀਐਮ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਲਿਆ ਏਅਰਫੋਰਸ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ‘ਤੇ ਅੰਗਰੇਜ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਿੰਨ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਾਅਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਏਅਰਫੋਰਸ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਕੂਲ ‘ਤੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਲਿਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵਾਸੀ ਕਾਲੀਏ ਵਾਲਾ ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਬੈਠੇ ਪਵਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨਾਮੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ‘ਤੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਸਨ। ਪਵਨਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਸਾਧਨਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੈਸੇ ਉਪਲਬਧ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ‘ਤੇ ਹੀ ਮਾਨਾਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਰਜਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ‘ਤੇ ਖਾਲਿਸਤਾਨ ਜਿੰਦਾਬਾਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਅਰੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੇ ਖਾਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਕੈਨਰਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ 2000 ਭੇਜੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਕਥਿਤ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਚਾਰ ਮੋਬਾਈਲ ਫੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਡੋਂਗਲ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਛਗਿਛ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੋਰ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਕਿਹੜੀ ਥਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ?
Preliminary investigations reveal the graffiti was painted in English on the night of October 19-20, 2025, targeting educational institutions like a local school in Mananwala and PM Kendriya Vidyalaya at the Air Force Station. The accused confessed to being paid sums like Rs 2,000 per act by Pannun’s aide, Pawanpreet Singh (alias Deep Chahal), to promote secessionist sentiments.
Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav emphasized the state’s commitment to curbing such threats, noting the operation’s role in dismantling SFJ modules. Further probes are underway to trace additional links and prevent radicalization among youth.
