ਪੰਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਹਿਬਾਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕੈਬਨਿਟ ਦੇ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਨਖਾਹੀਆ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼੍ਰੀਨਗਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮਰਿਆਦਾ ਦੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿਚ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਤਲਬ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਗਲਤੀ ਮੰਨ ਲਈ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਜਥੇਦਾਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਲਗਾਈ ਗਈ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਕਾਲ ਤਖ਼ਤ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਗਈ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਹਰਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਬੈਂਸ ਅੱਜ ਹੀ ਨੌਂਵੇਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਜਨਮ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ ਤੇ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿਚ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੋਠਾ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ 100 ਮੀਟਰ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
ਇਸ ਗੁਰੂ ਘਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਰਸਤਾ ਵੀ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਗੇ।ਇਸ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸੀਸ ਗੰਜ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਪਰੰਤ ਉਹ ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਅਨੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ 2 ਦਿਨ ਜੋੜਾ ਘਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਉਪਰੰਤ 1100 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਕੜਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦਿ ਦੇ ਦੇਗ ਕਰਵਾ ਕੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕਰਵਾਉਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ‘ਤੇ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਨਜ਼ੂਰ ਹੈ।
Harjot Singh directed to visit Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib in Delhi and Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib in Sri Anandpur Sahib. At both places, he will bow his head in reverence and serve for two days in the Jorda Ghar (Cleaning shoes sewa). Additionally, he will offer a deg (holy offering) worth ₹1100 and perform an ardaas (prayer).
Sri Akal Takht Sahib has declared Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains as Tankhaiya (religiously punished) for a recent incident in Srinagar, where Punjabi songs were sung during a program commemorating the 350th Martyrdom Centenary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The event was organized under the department led by Minister Harjot Bains.
As part of his religious punishment, Education Minister Harjot Bains is required to walk from Sri Darbar Sahib (Golden Temple) to the birthplace of the Ninth Guru, Gurdwara Guru ke Mahal. In the coming days, the streets and lanes leading to this holy site must be cleaned and repaired.
He is also required to perform Tankah at Gurdwara Kotha Sahib. Harjot Bains must begin the journey 100 meters behind Gurdwara Sahib and continue on foot to the shrine. The roads along this route must also be cleaned and repaired.
Another Tankah includes a visit to Gurdwara Baba Bakala Sahib, where the minister must again walk the final 100 meters (or nearby distance) on foot and ensure that all necessary arrangements and road repairs are made.
Finally, sewa must also be performed at Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib (Delhi) and Anandpur Sahib. Harjot Bains is required to visit and bow at Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib. Following that, at Anandpur Sahib, he must perform seva for two days at the Jora Ghar (shoe house). Additionally, a Deg (community food offering) worth ₹1100 must be prepared, and an Ardas (prayer) must be conducted
