ਗਾਜ਼ੀਆਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਖਦਾਈ ਘਟਨਾ: ਆਈਬੀ ਅਫਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਬੰਦ ਫਲੈਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਮਿਲੇ, ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੱਕਗਾਜ਼ੀਆਬਾਦ, ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ – ਇੱਕ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਝੰਜੋੜ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ, ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ (ਆਈਬੀ) ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਫਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਭੈਣ ਨੂੰ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ, 1 ਅਗਸਤ, 2025 ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਆਬਾਦ ਦੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਪੁਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਤ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੰਦ ਰਿਹਾਇਸ਼ੀ ਮਕਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਛਾਣ ਅਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ (28 ਸਾਲ) ਅਤੇ ਅੰਜਲੀ (23 ਸਾਲ) ਵਜੋਂ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਨੇ ਸੁਲਫਾਸ, ਇੱਕ ਖੇਤੀ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ, ਖਾ ਕੇ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੌਕੇ ਤੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸੁਸਾਈਡ ਨੋਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਸੰਭਾਵਿਤ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਅਸਪਸ਼ਟ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਪੁਰਮ ਕਲੋਨੀ ਦੇ ਹਾਊਸ ਨੰਬਰ ਐਚ-352 ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਮਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੌਤੇਲੀ ਮਾਂ, ਰੀਤੂ, ਜੋ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਭਗ 5 ਵਜੇ ਘਰ ਪਰਤੀ ਸੀ, ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੋਜਿਆ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਰੀਤੂ ਨੇ ਅਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਜਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਫੋਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਮਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਫੋਨ ਦੀ ਘੰਟੀ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ‘ਤੇ ਖੜਕਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਖਿੜਕੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਝਾਤ ਮਾਰੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ ਫਰਸ਼ ‘ਤੇ ਬੇਹੋਸ਼ ਪਏ ਦੇਖੇ।ਰੀਤੂ ਨੇ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਪੁਕਾਰਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਤੋੜ ਕੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਵੋਦਿਆ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਡਾਕਟਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਲਫਾਸ ਦੀ ਤੀਖੀ ਗੰਧ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਸੰਕੇਤ ਮਿਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਖਾਧਾ ਸੀ। ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਸਹੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਲਈ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੋਸਟਮਾਰਟਮ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਪੋਸਟਮਾਰਟਮ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਅਜੇ ਆਉਣੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੈ।
ਅਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਟੈਲੀਜੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਫਸਰ ਸੀ, ਜਦਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਅੰਜਲੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਸੀ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਕੁਝ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਹ ਨੋਇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਈਵੇਟ ਕੰਪਨੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਫਟਵੇਅਰ ਇੰਜੀਨੀਅਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ। ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੌਤੇਲੀ ਮਾਂ, ਰੀਤੂ, ਨਾਲ ਗਾਜ਼ੀਆਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ 20 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਸਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਕੌਂਸਲ ਆਫ ਸਾਇੰਟੀਫਿਕ ਐਂਡ ਇੰਡਸਟਰੀਅਲ ਰਿਸਰਚ (ਸੀਐਸਆਈਆਰ) ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਗਿਆਨੀ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਗੋਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਹਨ। ਘਟਨਾ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਹ ਘਰ ‘ਤੇ ਮੌਜੂਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ।ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਮੇ, ਦੇਵੇਂਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ, ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਈ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਤੇਲੀ ਮਾਂ ਰੀਤੂ ‘ਤੇ ਅਵਿਨਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਜਲੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਰੀਰਕ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਤਸੀਹੇ ਦੇਣ ਦੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਲਗਾਏ। ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ ਦੀ ਮਾਂ, ਕਮਲੇਸ਼, ਨੇ 18 ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਦੇ ਰੀਤੂ ਨਾਲ ਅਫੇਅਰ ਕਾਰਨ ਜ਼ਹਿਰੀਲਾ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਖਾ ਕੇ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਸੀ। ਸੁਖਬੀਰ ਨੇ ਕਮਲੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਰੀਤੂ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮਾਮੇ ਦੇ ਇਲਜ਼ਾਮਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਤਣਾਅ ਨੇ ਸੰਭਵ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਭੈਣ-ਭਰਾ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਦਮ ਉਠਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਮਜਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ, ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਇਸ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਲਈ ਅਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਠੋਸ ਸਬੂਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੇ।ਪੁਲਿਸ ਜਾਂਚ

Tragic Incident in Ghaziabad: IB Officer and Sister Found Dead in Locked Flat, Suicide SuspectedGhaziabad, Uttar Pradesh – In a heart-wrenching incident, an Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer and his younger sister were found dead in their locked residence in Govindpuram, under the jurisdiction of Kavinagar police station, on Thursday evening, August 1, 2025. The police suspect that the siblings, identified as Avinash Kumar Singh, 28, and Anjali, 23, died by suicide after consuming Sulphas, an agricultural pesticide. No suicide note was recovered from the scene, leaving the reasons behind the suspected suicide unclear.
The siblings were discovered unconscious inside their locked room in House No. H-352, Govindpuram Colony, by their stepmother, Ritu, who returned home around 5 p.m. on Thursday. According to police reports, Ritu attempted to contact Avinash and Anjali by phone but received no response despite hearing their phones ringing inside the room. When knocking on the door yielded no answer, she grew alarmed and looked through a window, where she saw both siblings lying motionless on the floor.Ritu immediately called for help, and neighbors assisted in breaking down the door. The siblings were rushed to Sarvodaya Hospital, where doctors declared them dead on arrival. Sources reported a strong smell of Sulphas emanating from the bodies, suggesting that the siblings may have ingested the toxic substance. The police have sent the bodies for a post-mortem examination to confirm the cause of death, but the autopsy report is still awaited.
Avinash Kumar Singh was employed as an officer with the Intelligence Bureau in Delhi, while his sister Anjali was a student, though some reports indicate she worked as a software engineer at a private company in Noida. The siblings lived with their stepmother, Ritu, in Ghaziabad, where the family had been residing for the past 20 years. Their father, Sukhbir Singh, a scientist with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), is stationed in Goa and was not present at the time of the incident.The siblings’ maternal uncle, Devender Singh, filed a complaint accusing their father, Sukhbir Singh, and stepmother, Ritu, of harassing and physically torturing Avinash and Anjali. According to the complaint, the siblings’ mother, Kamlesh, died by suicide 18 years ago after consuming a poisonous substance, allegedly due to distress caused by Sukhbir’s affair with Ritu. Sukhbir remarried Ritu a few months after Kamlesh’s death. The maternal uncle’s allegations suggest that ongoing familial tensions may have contributed to the siblings’ decision to take their lives, though no concrete evidence has been established to support this claim.
