ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਕੀਲ ਦੇ ਦਾਅਵੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਸ਼ਿਮਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼੍ਰੋਮਣੀ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਆਗੂ ਬਿਕਰਮ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ 402 ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ (ਲਗਭਗ 1,000 ਏਕੜ) ਬੇਨਾਮੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਬਿਊਰੋ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ, ਜੋ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਆਮਦਨ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। X ‘ਤੇ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ ਪੋਸਟਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਇਸ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਦੇ ਹਲਫ਼ੀਆ ਬਿਆਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਿਰਫ 0.5 ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਦਾ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਦੀ ਟੀਮ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਿਮਲਾ ਦੇ ਮਸ਼ੋਬਰਾ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਨ ਸੁਰਾਗ ਮਿਲਣ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਨੇ 2 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2025 ਨੂੰ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਦਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ 4 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਵਧਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਲਈ ਹੋਰ ਸਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਜਾਂਚ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ।
&nThe public prosecutor claimed that 402 hectares of benami (unregistered) property linked to Bikram Singh Majithia has been identified in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. According to information from X posts and web sources, this property was uncovered during an investigation by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau into disproportionate assets and drug-related cases against Majithia, a senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader. The property, located in Shimla’s Mashobra area, was not mentioned in Majithia’s affidavit, which only declared 0.5 hectares of land.

Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal and other senior Akali leaders were detained by Punjab Police outside Gurdwara Amb Sahib near Mohali. They were reportedly on their way to the Mohali court complex, where Bikram Singh Majithia was being produced after a 7-day Vigilance remand.

Bikram Singh Majithia Remand: ਮੋਹਾਲੀ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਕਾਲੀ ਲੀਡਰ ਬਿਕਰਮ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਦੇ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਧਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦਰਅਸਲ, ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 7 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਜ ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਕੋਰਟ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਦੀ ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਵਲੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਗਈ। ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਦਾ ਚਾਰ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਰਿਮਾਂਡ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਪੇਸ਼ੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਕੀਲ ਨੇ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਰਾਜਧਾਨੀ ਸ਼ਿਮਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਬਿਕਰਮ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧਤ 402 ਹੈਕਟੇਅਰ ਬੇਨਾਮੀ ਜਾਇਦਾਦ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਓਥੇ ਹੀ ਬਿਕਰਮ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਤੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਵਿਚ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਇਲਜ਼ਾਮ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਕੀਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਲਾਏ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਦੱਸ ਦਈਏ ਕਿ ਬਿਕਰਮ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਜੀਲੈਂਸ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਗੋਰਖਪੁਰ ਵੀ ਲਿਜਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਵਕੀਲ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ 2017-18 ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਮਜੀਠੀਆ ਦੇ ਬੈਂਕ ਖਾਤਿਆਂ ਵਿਚ 161 ਕਰੋੜ ਕੈਸ਼ ਜਮ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
The Vigilance team investigated the site and claimed to have found significant evidence. On July 2, 2025, a Mohali court extended Majithia’s police remand by four days, as the Vigilance Bureau stated he was not cooperating and further time and on-site investigation were needed.This case has heated Punjab’s political landscape, with Akali Dal leaders calling it political vendetta, while Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and the Aam Aadmi Party assert it’s part of a lawful probe and anti-drug campaign. The matter is still under investigation, with final evidence yet to be confirmed. Majithia’s lawyers have questioned the validity of the report on which the case is based.
