He reportedly said that Turkey should give Uganda $1 billion within 30 days and also send “its most beautiful woman” to become his wife. He added that failure to comply would result in Uganda cutting diplomatic ties with Turkey.
This statement drew widespread criticism online and internationally, with many calling it inappropriate and undiplomatic.
This is not the first time Kainerugaba has made controversial remarks. Previously, he also made comments about Giorgia Meloni, which attracted backlash.
ਯੁਗਾਂਡਾ ਦੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਮੁਖੀ Muhoozi Kainerugaba ਨੇ ਤੁਰਕੀ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਵਾਦਿਤ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ,
“ਤੁਰਕੀ 30 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਯੁਗਾਂਡਾ ਨੂੰ 1 ਅਰਬ ਡਾਲਰ ਦੇਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਭੇਜੇ।
ਜੇਕਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਰਕੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਜਨੀਤਿਕ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਤੋੜ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ।”
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ Muhoozi Kainerugaba ਨੇ Giorgia Meloni ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਵਾਦਿਤ ਟਿੱਪਣੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।
