ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਹਰਮਨ ਨਗਰ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੀਤੀ ਰਾਤ ਇਕ ਦਰਦਨਾਕ ਘਟਨਾ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਈ ਹੈ। ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਮਾਹੀ ਸੈਲੂਨ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਉਰਫ਼ ਮਾਹੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਮਨਵੀਰ ਕੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਮਾਸੂਮ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ (ਉਮਰ ਕਰੀਬ 6 ਅਤੇ 10 ਸਾਲ) ਨੂੰ ਗੋਲੀ ਮਾਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਖੁਦਕੁਸ਼ੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ।
ਉਪਰਲੀ ਮੰਜ਼ਿਲ ’ਤੇ ਰਹਿ ਰਹੇ ਕਿਰਾਏਦਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਜਦੋਂ ਮਕਾਨ ਮਾਲਕ ਅਮਨਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਾ ਖੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ੱਕ ਹੋਣ ’ਤੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਹੱਲਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੁਹੱਲਾ ਨਿਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਨਾਲ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋਣ ’ਤੇ ਚਾਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਪਈਆਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ, ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਚਨਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ। ਪੁਲੀਸ ਨੇ ਲਾਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।
A financier in Punjab’s Ferozepur district, who also owned a salon, allegedly shot dead his wife and two minor daughters before ending his life at his residence on Thursday morning, according to police reports.
The deceased have been identified as Mahi Sodhi, aged around 40, his wife Jasvir Sodhi, and their two daughters aged 10 and 6 years, the police said. The gun used for the crime was found beside the bodies.
According to police, the incident in the Harman Nagar area came to light when the family’s domestic help arrived for work in the morning. After receiving no response to the doorbell or phone calls, she contacted the tenants living on the first floor of the building.
