Afghanistan Earthquake News: ਐਤਵਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੋਮਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਦਰਮਿਆਨੀ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਫ਼ਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਵਿਚ ਇਕ ਤੇਜ਼ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। 12:47 ਵਜੇ ਆਏ ਇਸ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਦੀ ਤੀਬਰਤਾ ਰਿਕਟਰ ਪੈਮਾਨੇ ‘ਤੇ 6.3 ਮਾਪੀ ਗਈ। ਅਫ਼ਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਕਈ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਤੇਜ਼ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਦੇ ਝਟਕੇ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ।
ਭੂਚਾਲ ਕਾਰਨ ਭਾਰੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ 20 ਮੌਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੈ। ਕਈ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਰ ਢਹਿ ਗਏ ਹਨ। USGS ਵੈੱਬਸਾਈਟ ਦਾ ਅੰਦਾਜ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੌਤਾਂ “ਵੱਧ” ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵਨਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਆਫ਼ਤ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਵਿਆਪਕ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ, 20 ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਯੂਐਸਜੀਐਸ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਭੂਚਾਲ ਦਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਅਫ਼ਗਾਨਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਬਸਾਵੁਲ ਤੋਂ 36 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਉੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੀ ਡੂੰਘਾਈ 10 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ (6.2 ਮੀਲ) ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਪੂਰੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਕਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਹਿੱਸਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਦੇ ਝਟਕੇ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ। 6 ਤੋਂ ਵੱਧ ਤੀਬਰਤਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਭੂਚਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਤਰਨਾਕ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
