ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਦੇ ਕੁਲਗਾਮ ਦੇ ਅਖਲ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੌਵੇਂ ਦਿਨ ਵੀ ਅੱਤਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਨਿਕਾਂ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ। ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹਨ। ਜ਼ਖਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ 92 ਬੇਸ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਲਿਜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਚਿਨਾਰ ਕੋਰ ਨੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ, ਅਖਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਤ ਭਰ ਧਮਾਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਜਵਾਨ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਗੋਲੀਬਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਜਵਾਨ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਲੈਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਕਰਨਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਹਰਮਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਸ਼ਹੀਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ।
ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਬਲਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਖਲ ਜੰਗਲਾਤ ਖੇਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਘੇਰਾਬੰਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉੱਥੇ ਲੁਕੇ ਅੱਤਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ। ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ 24 ਘੰਟੇ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਰਾਨੀ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਡੀਜੀਪੀ ਨਲਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਤ ਨੇ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਦਾ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਖੇਤਰ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਆਈਜੀਪੀ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਵੀਕੇ ਵਿਰਦੀ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ। ਉੱਤਰੀ ਕਮਾਂਡ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਲੈਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਜਨਰਲ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਸਥਿਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਤਵਾਦ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਗਰਿੱਡ ਦਾ ਵੀ ਜਾਇਜ਼ਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਬਲ ਅੱਤਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਤਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਡਰੋਨ, ਹੈਲੀਕਾਪਟਰ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਆਧੁਨਿਕ ਉਪਕਰਣਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਖੋਜੀ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਵੀ ਤਾਇਨਾਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਅਧਿਕਾਰਤ ਸੂਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਇਸ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋ ਅੱਤਵਾਦੀ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਨੌਂ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰਮਚਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ। ਇਹ ਇਸ ਸਾਲ ਜੰਮੂ-ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁਣ ਤੱਕ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਲੰਬਾ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਹੈ।
ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਖਲ ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਸ਼ੱਕੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀ ਦੀ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਆਪ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਨ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਨਾਗਰਿਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਿੰਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਐਮਰਜੈਂਸੀ ਸੰਪਰਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲਈ ਨੋਡਲ ਅਫਸਰ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
Lance Naik Pritpal Singh and Sepoy Harminder Singh were martyred during an anti-terror operation in the Akhal forest area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, which began on August 1, 2025. Lance Naik Pritpal Singh, aged 27, from Manupur village near Samrala, Ludhiana, was a newlywed, having married Manpreet Kaur four to six months prior. He joined the Indian Army in 2015, completed commando training, and was on the verge of promotion to Naik. During the operation, he was part of a special mission to track terrorists when he was fatally shot in the head after a grenade attack and heavy gunfire, which also neutralized one terrorist. His family, including his inconsolable wife, parents, and two elder brothers, mourned his loss, with his brother Harpreet expressing pride in his sacrifice but urging action against remaining terrorists. Pritpal’s cremation was set for August 10, 2025, in Manupur with full state honors, as confirmed by MLA Jagtar Singh Dyalpura.Sepoy Harminder Singh, from Badinpur village in Fatehgarh Sahib district, was also killed in the same encounter. Limited details are available about him, but he hailed from Mandi Gobindgarh. The operation, ongoing for over a week, resulted in the elimination of three terrorists, identified as Zakir Ahmad Ganie, Adil Rehman Dentoo, and Nazir Dar. A pall of grief has descended over both villages as the families and communities mourn the loss of these brave soldiers
