FEROZEPUR: An 18-year-old girl was raped by her maternal uncle, who is a Pastor in church. The girl is undergoing medical treatment at the Civil Hospital in Zira in Ferozepur.
Acting on the statement of the girl, the police have registered a case against the pastor and started an investigation.
ਪੀੜਤ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਮੇ ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਿਤੀ 15 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2024 ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਲਈ ਘਰੋਂ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਦੇ ਹੋਟਲ ‘ਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਬਰ ਜਨਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਬ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੀੜਤਾ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਉਕਤ ਪਾਸਟਰ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜ਼ੀਰਾ: ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੀ ਤਹਿਸੀਲ ਜ਼ੀਰਾ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਕਲਯੁਗੀ ‘ਪਾਸਟਰ ਮਾਮਾ ‘ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਣਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਉਥੇ ਇਕ ਹੋਟਲ ‘ਚ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਜਬਰ ਜਨਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਥਾਣਾ ਸਦਰ ਜ਼ੀਰਾ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਕਤ ਲੜਕੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਸਟਰ ਮਾਮੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ 64 ਬੀਐੱਨਐੱਸ ਤਹਿਤ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਪੀੜ੍ਹਤ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੰਮੀ ਦੀ ਭੂਆ ਦਾ ਲੜਕਾ ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇ ਵਿਚ ਮਾਮਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਪਾਸਟਰ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਮਾਮਾ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਵੀ ਅਕਸਰ ਹੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸੀ।
ਪੀੜਤ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਮੇ ਲਖਵਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਿਤੀ 15 ਜੁਲਾਈ 2024 ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਲਈ ਘਰੋਂ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਦੇ ਹੋਟਲ ‘ਚ ਕਿਤੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਬਰ ਜਨਾਹ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
ਇਸ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਬ ਇੰਸਪੈਕਟਰ ਪਰਮਜੀਤ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਪੀੜਤਾ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨਾਂ ’ਤੇ ਉਕਤ ਪਾਸਟਰ ਖਿਲਾਫ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੁਲਜ਼ਮ ਮਾਮੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਅਗਲੀ ਅਗਲੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਆਰੰਭ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਫਿਰੋਜ਼ਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਹਲਕਾ ਜ਼ੀਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਰਿਸ਼ਤੇਦਾਰ ਪਾਸਟਰ ਮਾਮੇ ਨੇ ਭਾਣਜੀ ਨੂੰ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਬਰ ਜਨਾਹ ਜਿਹੀ ਘਿਨੌਣੀ ਵਾਰਦਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਜਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਲੜਕੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਪਾਸਟਰ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਾਣਜੀ ਨੂੰ 15 ਜੁਲਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਥਨਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਿਮਾਚਲ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਟਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਦੀ ਘਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੀੜਤ ਲੜਕੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਕ ਮੈਂਬਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦਰ ਥਾਣਾ ਜ਼ੀਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

The girl, in her statement to the police said that Lakhwinder Singh is her maternal uncle, who is a Pastor in a church. She has been going with the accused for worship (worship of God) meetings.
On July 15, Pastor Lakhwinder Singh took her from home for worship at some place but instead he took her to a hotel in Himachal Pradesh where he repeatedly raped her. After her health deteriorated, she returned to Zira, where she narrated the incident to her family.
Her family got her admitted to the civil hospital after reporting the matter to the police.
A pastor is a religious title used mostly in Christian churches, who has the authority to lead religious services and help others worship.
When contacted, Paramjit Kaur, Assistant Sub Inspector and Investigating Officer, Zira Sadar police station said that a case under section 64 BNS has been registered against Lakhwinder Singh on the basis of the girl’s statement. The police has stated investigations and the accused is yet to be arrested, she added.
