A shocking case has come to light in which several young women have alleged that they were lured with promises of acting opportunities in films and were subsequently subjected to human trafficking and exploitation.

According to the victims, they were approached with offers of roles in the entertainment industry but were instead deceived and allegedly exploited after being taken to different locations.
The affected women have now approached the Women’s Commission, seeking justice and demanding strict action against those responsible. Taking cognizance of the complaints, the Commission has sought a report from the concerned authorities and directed the police to conduct a thorough investigation into the allegations.
The Women’s Commission has assured the victims of legal assistance and necessary protection while the investigation is underway. Officials have stated that appropriate legal action will be taken if the allegations are substantiated during the course of the investigation.

ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਝਾਂਸਾ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਕਥਿਤ ਖਰੀਦੋ-ਫਰੋਖਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਮਾਮਲਾ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਪੀੜਤ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ।
ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਦੋਸ਼ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੋਰੰਜਨ ਜਗਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਦਿਵਾਉਣ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਥਿਤ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸ਼ੋਸ਼ਣ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਜੀ ਥਾਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦਾ ਨੋਟਿਸ ਲੈਂਦਿਆਂ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਤਲਬ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੀੜਤ ਲੜਕੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਿਆਨ ਦਰਜ ਕਰਕੇ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਗੰਭੀਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਂਚ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੋਸ਼ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਣ ‘ਤੇ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਮਹਿਲਾ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪੀੜਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੋੜੀਂਦੀ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਆ ਮੁਹੱਈਆ ਕਰਵਾਈ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਫਿਲਹਾਲ ਮਾਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਜਾਂਚ ਜਾਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਂਚ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਹੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੱਥ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਸਕਣਗੇ।
