ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਮ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਨ ‘ਵਾਈਟ ਹਾਊਸ ਆਫਿਸ ਆਫ ਸਾਇੰਸ ਐਂਡ ਟੈਕਨਾਲੋਜੀ ਪਾਲਿਸੀ’ ਵਿੱਚ ਏਆਈ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੀਨੀਅਰ ਨੀਤੀ ਸਲਾਹਕਾਰ ਵਜੋਂ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਗੇ।’
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਨ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮਾਈਕ੍ਰੋਸਾਫਟ, ਟਵਿੱਟਰ, ਯਾਹੂ, ਫੇਸਬੁੱਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਨੈਪ ਆਦਿ ਕੰਪਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਹੁਣ ਓਹ ‘ਵਾਈਟ ਹਾਊਸ ਏਆਈ ਐਂਡ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਟੋ ਜ਼ਾਰ’ ਲਈ ਨਿਯੁਕਤ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਡੇਵਿਡ ਓ ਸਾਕਸ ਨਾਲ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨਗੇ।
ਟਰੰਪ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਡੇਵਿਡ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਮ ਏਆਈ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦਾ ਦਬਦਬਾ ਯਕੀਨੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ’ਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕੇਂਦਰਿਤ ਕਰਨਗੇ।’
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਨ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਲਈ ਨਾਮਜ਼ਦ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ’ਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਡੇਵਿਡ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਏਆਈ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਰੀਕਾ ਦਾ ਦਬਦਬਾ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਣ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਮੌਕਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਮੈਂ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ।’ ਭਾਰਤੀ-ਅਮਰੀਕੀ ਭਾਈਚਾਰੇ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨਨ ਦੀ ਨਿਯੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

Repeat observation, but there is something absurd about importing ‘high-skilled’ foreigners at the same time as the USA has been eliminating advanced programs in public schools that might identify domestic talent – all in the name of DEI.
We don’t even know how much domestic talent we have because we have worked to make it impossible to find it, and then to cultivate it.
Then we add insult to injury by saying we are desperate for foreign talent after hobbling our own kids at home. Our people – who may have been screwed – aren’t good enough.

It’s alarming to see the number of career leftists who are now being appointed to serve in Trump’s admin when they share views that are in direct opposition to Trump’s America First agenda.
How will be control immigration in our country and promote America First innovation when Trump appointed this guy who wants to REMOVE all restrictions on green card caps in the United States so that foreign students (which makes up 78% of the employees in Silicon Valley) can come to the US and take jobs that should be given to American STEM students.
This is very troubling. Mind you, none of the tech executives who are meeting with Trump and getting appointed in his cabinet supported him in 2020 or during the 2024 primary.
I feel like many of them are trying to get into Trump’s admin to enrich themselves and get contracts at DOD.
This is not America First policy.
